Award winning independent filmmaker and MFA candidate in Film Production and Creative Writing, Karin Lee, is currently in post production of the groundbreaking television pilot for a 10 part series “Plan b”, a dark comedy about an abortion clinic.
POV 24 Film Festival
UBC Persistence of Vision Film Festival Congratulations to all our students who showcased another year’s worth of artistry. This year over two nights at Vancouver’s Rio Theatre, students from the UBC Film Production Program self produced and presented their films in the 24th Annual Persistence of Vision Film Festival, or POV 24.
Sharon Lin Takes Home Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival
Congratulations to second year Film Production student, Sharon Lin, who will be accepting a Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival for her film Nuclear Kitty which she wrote and directed as part of her first year’s work in the Film program.

The musical Floyd Collins, produced by BFA Acting Alumna Katey Wright’s company, Patrick Street Productions, will be playing at the York Theatre from March 11-30, 2014. Wright is the cofounder and co-artistic producer of Patrick Street Productions.
