Bridgeport, USA, 2008: A teenage girl is found dead in her room. While the signs point to a suicide, an autopsy report reveals something more sinister. Ten years later, the film’s director traces the past causes and future consequences of this unsolved crime to imagine a future that never happened. Drawing connections between Haiti, Canada, and the US, This House (Cette Maison) explores how violence can jeopardize the safety of a home.
