Since 1969, the Film Production program at UBC has provided courses and workshops for students who have become industry leaders, screening their work at internationally-recognized film festivals including Cannes, Berlinale, SXSW, Sundance, Toronto, IDFA and Hot Docs.
Join current students, faculty, and staff at our Online Open House to learn more about this dynamic program where students from all over the world come together to learn how to tell their stories in film. Plenty of time will be given for you to ask questions about the program and application process.
There will be two simultaneous sessions, one for those interested in the BFA in Film Production and one about the MFA in Film Production.
Note: The MFA in Film Production and MFA in Film Production & Creative writing are currently accepting applications every two years. The next intake will be for September 2024, with the application process set to open in October, 2023.
