We are proud to announce our 2026/2027 season, featuring a dynamic lineup of productions curated by faculty, staff, and students. From vampires and shipwrecks to existential journeys and centuries-spanning adventures, this season’s productions explore the fluidity of identity, the power of transformation, and what it means to find your place in a shifting world.
Launching the student mainstage season is Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really, Kate Hamill’s witty and thrilling reimagination of the vampire myth. In the spring, mistaken identities abound in Shakespeare’s beloved comedy Twelfth Night. The season concludes with Orlando, Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s groundbreaking novel, a playful and imaginative journey through time, place, and gender.
On September 30 a free Truth and Reconciliation Day performance of Axis Theatre’s Where Have All the Buffalo Gone? by BFA alum Tai Amy Grauman will be presented. Audiences can gain a unique glimpse into the artistic development of UBC’s BFA Acting students through an intimate Acting Study production of Tony-Award winning and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ thought-provoking Everybody. The season also welcomes the return of the beloved alumni fundraising event Beckett 26.
