A playful and imaginative journey based on Virginia Woolf’s groundbreaking novel. We first meet Orlando, a young nobleman in the court of Queen Elizabeth I, whose restless search for love, purpose, and artistic fulfilment carries him across centuries and continents. After awakening one day as a woman, Orlando navigates changing expectations of identity and society. Dazzlingly theatrical, inventive, and often hilarious, Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation is an exuberant exploration of self-discovery.
