UPDATE: GREGORY MIDDLETON HAS WON THE EMMY!
Congrats to Film Production alum and cinematographer, Gregory Middleton (BA, Film and TV Studies, 1989), on his Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography For A Limited Series Or Movie – 2020 for Watchmen. Best known for his work on Game of Thrones and a two-time Emmy nominee, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (One Hour) for his work on Game of Thrones, Middleton shot four episodes out of the series’ nine.
Watchmen is an American superhero drama limited television series based on the 1986 Comics series Watchmen, created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The TV series was created for HBO by Damon Lindelof, who also served as an executive producer and writer; it premiered on October 20, 2019. Its ensemble cast includes Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tom Mison, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Louis Gossett Jr., and Jeremy Irons, with Jean Smart and Hong Chau joining the cast in later episodes.
Watchmen has had 26 Emmy Nominations and has won 5 Emmy’s.
