At time of writing, The World Hobbit Research Project has received 33,000 responses. Their Twitter account now has 4,000 followers!

There is still time to have your say: give them 20 minutes, and you will be adding your voice to the biggest international film audience research project ever attempted! You don’t have to be a fan – they want to hear all views, and from all kinds of people.
UBC Theatre & Film Professor Ernest Mathijs is one of the three principal researchers who are heading a team of scholars from 46 countries. They have been gathering online survey responses in more than 30 languages, starting from the day of the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

The collaborators on the survey promise that all the main things they learn will be given back to everyone via The World Hobbit Research Project website once they have closed the survey and had a chance to look at the results.
