Breanne Harmon
Born and raised in Richmond, BC, Breanne has worked as a professional Stage Manager for close to ten years. She graduated with honours from the University of British Columbia with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production/Design, where she was the recipient of the Norman Young Scholarship for Theatre and the Dean of Arts Scholarship; while also completing the Fine Arts Program in Visual Arts at Langara College. Breanne has had the pleasure of working for various theatre companies across Canada, including; The Shaw Festival, Arts Club, National Arts Centre, among many others. She was also the Production Manager at Presentation House Theatre for the 2013/14 Season. Breanne is excited to bring her touring knowledge and experiences to Green Thumb Theatre, having completed many cross province and Canada tours. Breanne sits on the GVPTA’s Theatre Engagement Project board, has sat on the Jessie Richardson Theatre for Young Audiences jury and was a Stage Management Mentor with the Cultch’s Ignite program. Breanne is also the resident Set Designer for Beach House Theatre.

Her time at UBC:
“My time at UBC was a time of discovery. I entered the BA Theatre program after completing the fine arts program at Langara College with a strong desire to go into Theatre and Arts Education. After my first year of taking theatre courses, specifically the 99-courses (wardrobe running, scenic painting and set building) and stage managing my first production, “Shadows of Troy”, directed by Tom Scholte, I quickly re-directed my attention to the BFA program with a specialization in Stage Management and Scenic Painting. The individuals I met and worked with, both students and staff members, were incredible resources and supports. Through my time at UBC, I made strong, lasting relationships and connections that helped catapult my career into theatre. One lasting memory was being given the opportunity to stage manage Chris McGregor’s MFA production, “The Idiots Karamazov”. With a team of almost 50 student actors, assistant stage managers and crew, this show was one for the books! My time at UBC prepared me for the many challenges we all face as theatre artists equipping me with the tools needed to overcome these challenges thus forging a lasting career in the arts.”
