PROFESSOR PATRICK PENNEFATHER IS SOUND DESIGNER FOR THE ARTS CLUB’S THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN NIGHT-TIME PLUS ALUMNI ARE FEATURED!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in Night-Time opens the Arts Club’s 2018/19 season, Sept 6-Oct. 7, noted as it’s the inaugural play of the new Artistic Director Ashlie Corcoran. New Professor Patrick Pennefather, Theatre Design and Production, is the Sound Designer for the award-winning play about a 15-year-old autistic boy who sets out to uncover the truth about the neighbour’s dog’s being killed. Winning the 2015 Tony Award for Best Play, it tests the boundaries of imagination and physical space as it delves into the mind of the boy as he challenges his own barriers to uncover the truth about the dog.
Patrick is not alone as a representative of UBC Theatre and Film. BFA Acting alumni Ghazal Azarbad, Laara Sadiq, and Raugi Yu are in the cast; Theatre Design and Production alum Caryn Fehr is the Stage Manager, and Acting Adjunct Professor Adam Henderson is the Dialect Coach.
