New Faculty Member, Leora Morris, directs TYA hit, “Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed” (Alliance Theatre) – Perfect for Families in Social Isolation!

Our newest faculty member, Leora Morris (she starts July 1) has directed the Theatre for Young Audience production of Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed with Book and Lyrics by Mo Willems, Music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, Based on the book Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed by Mo Willems. The show, that opened and then immediately closed, at Atlanta, Georgia’s Alliance Theatre, where Leora was the resident Artist in Education, has continued its run online. This 55-minute fun, family musical has been extended to April 12 to be watched in the comfort of your own home (clothing optional)! There are online activity books, you tube videos of karaoke versions, and videos of Leora teaching the dance choreography to children at home.

Wilbur, a clothes-loving mole rat with exceptional style, navigates the pressure to be just like everyone else. With tail-shaking tunes, empowering messages of individuality, and classic Mo Willems’ humour, this musical is sure to rock audiences of all ages.
