BFA Acting Student Ghazal Azarbad Receives 2014 Hnatyshyn Foundation Award for ‘Developing Artist (English Theatre)’
Congratulations to BFA Acting student Ghazal Azarbad who is the recipient of the 2014 Hnatyshyn Foundation Award for ‘Developing Artist (English Theatre)’. Each year all post secondary institutions that trains actors in Canada are invited to enter one nominee.
Eight grants of $10,000 are awarded annually, one each in of the fields of classical music (orchestral instrument), classical music (piano), classical voice, jazz, classical ballet, contemporary dance, acting (English theatre) and acting (French theatre).
The grants are given in each category to support the studies of a young artist “who possesses the talent and determination to become a professional”.
The Hnatyshyn Foundation’s Developing Artists Grants program is designed to bridge funding gaps in existing programs and provide assistance to the most promising young Canadian performing artists.
