UBC Theatre and Film were pleased to host a retirement party for Richard Payment and his lovely wife Felicity in June. For almost thirty years (it would have been thirty in August), Richard has been the Collection Coordinator of the Visual Resources Centre. He managed the purchases and lending of titles (5000+ and counting) and the use of viewing stations and the screening facilities in the seminar room, providing our Film Studies Professors with films for their classes and a lending library for Graduate Students and faculty.
Richard and his wife Felicity, who is also retiring this year, will be following their youngest of five children to school in England. They’ve rented a home in Bristol, have wrapped up affairs in Vancouver, and are looking forward to a new adventure.
