FILM PRODUCTION PROGRAM FINAL YEAR’S WIN AT THE MONTREAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL!

Film Production BFA Final Years Craig Range (Director), Mintie Pardoe (Producer), Farhad Ghaderi (Director of Photography) won at the Montreal World Film Festival for Best Experimental Short for their film All Things Wanting. Created for the Film Production program’s Persistence of Vision Festival (POV26) last year, we celebrate their achievement.
The Montreal World Film Festival (WFF) founded in 1977, is one of Canada’s oldest international film festivals and the only competitive film festival in North America accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) although the Toronto International Film Festival is North America’s only accredited non-competitive festival. The public festival is held annually in late August in the city of Montreal in Quebec. Unlike the Toronto International Film Festival, which has a greater focus on Canadian and other North American films, the Montreal World Film Festival has a larger diversity of films from all over the world.
All Things Wanting is about Norman, a man struggling to make a film about his fear. He fails and descends into the space between thought and expression while trying to express his anxiety with the world and his future. All Things Wanting examines a man wrestling with that which determines him and his art.
