While there Brian gave three talks, two to a faculty, graduate and postdoctoral student body in the Humanities Institute building:
“Biographical film research methodological challenges” (thoughts on research challenges when tracing the life of a filmmaker)
and
In addition he gave a lecture to a film major class on Irish cinema:
“The Northern Ireland Troubles and Film”
He spent his time meeting and communicating with the Heads of Film and Media Studies from Dublin’s four universities, and did research in the Liam O’Leary Film Collection in the National Library of Ireland. Discussions were had at possible joint research ventures between our Departments.
