Film Alumnus Terrance Azzuolo wins ‘Best Canadian Short Film’ for Student film



event_salamanderCongratulations to Alumnus Terrance Azzuolo(BFA’ 13) who won ‘Best Canadian Short Film’ at the Grand River Film Festival for ‘The Salamander’, a short film made in his 4th year Film production class (FIPR 433).

The Salamander is about the soon to be 8 year old Joseph, who found a Salamander to give to his father, whom he never sees, in the hopes of building their relationship.
Terrance’s film was screened at the POV Festival and won Best Film and Best Direction. ‘The Salamander’ was also chosen to screen at the Alexandria Film Festival, the ITSA Film Festival and the San Diego Black Film Festival.
Currently, Terrance is interning at NFB in Gastown, Vancouver. We are excited to see what he is on to next!
