Christine’s story:

“Shortly after I started my MFA in Design at UBC I got a call from The Stratford Festival in Ontario asking me to come out to work in their fabric dyeing shop. I had been working in the fabric dyeing field in Montreal before I decided to get an MFA in Theatre Design. My professors Robert Gardiner and Alison Green made it possible for me to get the best of both worlds and go to Stratford as a dyer for half of the year and study design at UBC for the other half. It was truly great training being exposed to lots of different designers as a dyer at Stratford and learning the visual and technical skills of a designer from the equally talented Green and Gardiner. And I came out of grad school with very little debt!” – Christine Reimer
