Zoë Sherman
Cinema and Media Studies MA student Zoë Sherman has won a 2019 Arts Graduate Research Award! The Arts Graduate Research Award will fund Zoë’s research trip to Los Angeles in mid-April, where she will investigate archival holdings at the Margaret Herrick Library and the Film and Television Archives at UCLA. Archival work will provide primary research material for her Master’s thesis, titled “The Look of Love: Visual Symbols of Romance in 1930s Screwball Comedy”, which analyzes visual codifications of sexuality and romance in screwball comedies of the 1930s.
