What was one of the highlights of your UBC experience?
Other than creating lifelong friends and colleagues, The Arsonists was my highlight at UBC. I got to play my favourite character I’ve ever played and I worked on a show that I felt was artistically and politically important. I had the greatest time with my cast-mates, worked with an incredible director, and felt overwhelming fulfilment from it.

What was one of the highlights of your UBC experience?
I loved the experience of our Naked Cinema project; producing my own work along with others is such a rewarding and unique experience. We had so much fun taking material from our own lives and feeding it to make something new and alive. It has been such a pleasure to see how our work as artists and and performers has cultivated into our own personal styles over these past four years!

What was one of the highlights of your UBC experience?
One of the highlights of my time at UBC was our production of The Very Book Indeed. To me, that was a creation of art about art. As the play discusses the meaning of theatre and the significance of its relationship with the audience, I felt that the whole cast and crew poured their hearts and souls into bringing about the celebration of theatre as a place that honours human nature.

What was one of the highlights of your UBC experience?
Creating our unhinged Naked Cinema film, being Truffledino in the Commedia dell’Arte, being Henry Condell in The Very Book Indeed and trying out a monologue from one of my dream roles (the Joker) and turning that into a drag performance. Laugh crying, and also just crying, and also just being so silly with my lovely ensemble who have become family.

Staging the plays we did in the Telus and Frederic Wood Theatres. Doing character exploration, scene work, and rehearsing until we staged the plays was truly a memorable experience. Watching my friends perform after years of witnessing their dedication was a massive privilege. Being in the audience of The Arsonists made me feel like a Directioner in the front row of the Take Me Home tour.
Moreover, rehearsals for The Last of the Pelican Daughters and co-devising Gnocchi taught me about efficient collaborative processes that I hope to incorporate into future projects.

What was one of the highlights of your UBC experience?
Hard to pick one! It would be the people, the sunshine, and all the beautiful resources and facilities I had access to! Studio 128 became a home and a sanctuary to me.
