A Musical Lecture by Tomson Highway

Cree playwright, novelist, classical pianist and songwriter Tomson Highway is one of Canada’s cultural treasures. The award-winning author of the novel Kiss of the Fur Queen and the plays The Rez Sisters, Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing, Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout and The (Post) Mistress, Highway is also famous for his funny, moving, raucous musical cabarets.

Join him at the Roy Barnett Hall in the School of Music on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 12-1 pm for an educational and entertaining musical lecture in English and Cree.

This is a joint presentation by the Department of Theatre and Film, Department of English, First Nations and Indigenous Studies Program, and School of Music.
