MFA student Cari Green brings Citizen Jane to the screen

Green is putting on the director’s gloves with Citizen Jane, a dramatic feature partially inspired by the real life work of Michelle Douglas, the woman who single-handedly reversed the policy against lesbian and gay people serving in the Canadian military.

Film Alumnus Terrance Azzuolo wins ‘Best Canadian Short Film’ for Student film

Congratulations to Alumnus Terrance Azzuolo(BFA’ 13) who won ‘Best Canadian Short Film’ at the Grand River Film Festival for ‘The Salamander’, a short film made in his 4th year Film production class (FIPR 433).

The debut award for Best B.C. Film went to The Dick Knost Show — Film at UBC alumnus Bruce Sweeney’s new comedy about an abrasive talk show host who thinks concussions are comedy fodder until he sustains one himself.
