MA Film Alumnus Earns Recognition for Whispers of Life

UBC Film alumnus Joshua M. Ferguson’s short film, Whispers of Life, has won the Best Short Film Audience Award at the 15th Annual Reelout Queer Film + Video Festival in Kingston, Ontario.

Alumni & Students Kickstart Season 2 of Shakespeare Web Series

Blank Verse is a an exciting new web series about William Shakespeare and the great writers of his time re-imagined as modern day university students. The series has a first season under its’ belt that can be seen on YouTube and the producers are now turning to KickStarter to create Season 2.

Alumni Take on New Roles at UBC

Mr. Cam Cronin has stepped into the position of Acting Administrator for the UBC Department of Theatre and Film. Cam takes over from our former Administrator Gerald Vanderwoude who has moved over to the Dean’s office to become Assistant Dean, Faculty of Arts.
