Our own Assistant Professor Rachel Talalay, has directed an episode of the new hit TV show and winner of the People’s Choice Favourite TV Drama Award, REIGN.
Talalay has worked as a director and producer in film and television for the past 20 years – in the UK, the US, and Canada and is teaching Film Production at UBC.
Talalay directed REIGN’s 10th episode “Sacrifice” in which an attempt is made on Bash’s life (alumnus Torrance Coombs, BFA Acting ’05). Fortunately, the plot to kill him goes wrong and Queen Catherine becomes a suspect. As the bond between Bash and Mary continues to grow, conflict arises in the castle and Lola needs to take drastic measures to protect her friend Mary.
