Jacob Pascoe is an MA student in the Cinema and Media studies program at UBC. He holds a BFA in Film Production and Minor in English Literature from UBC (2018) and has since developed a body of work spanning narrative, avant-garde film, and music videos as well as fiction, criticism, and theory. His films and writing have appeared in festivals and magazines around North America. In 2023, he was awarded a Canada Council for the Arts development grant for work on a feature film. His research looks at notions of the Beyond, the Apocalyptic, and Spiritual Styles of cinema primarily from a Jewish mystical perspective.
