MFA Director Luciana Silvestre Fernandes Joins Neptune Theatre in Halifax as Part of the Chrysalis Project.

First year MFA Director Luciana Silvestre Fernandes joins Neptune Theatre in Halifax, as part of the Chrysalis Project. She’s working as an Assistant Director on two main stage shows; a production outside of Neptune Theatre; and is given the opportunity to direct her own studio show at Neptune Theatre presented as part of a showcase with her fellow Chrysalis directors.
The Bridge (Neptune Mainstage), opens this Friday, January 25, a 2b theatre company/Neptune Theatre co-production: Luciana is assisting Director Anthony Black.
Next up, she will be working as an Assistant Director on Noises Off (Neptune Mainstage) with Neptune’s Artistic Director Jeremy Webb.
Following that, she will be working with Ritchie Wilcox, assisting in a HAT production (Cape Breton), of the yet unpublished Hannah Moscovitch play Bunny.
As the final part of her contract, she will be directing her own project to be shown as part of a Chrysalis director showcase. Her production will be a devised movement adaptation of Cassandra’s myth, titled Cassandra’s Curse.
