Jacqueline is an early career costume and scenic designer. As part of her thesis project, she is scenic designing Lois Anderson’s production of Much Ado About Nothing for UBC Theatre’s 2018/19 Main Stage Season. The designs use trompe-l’œil and forced perspective to build a not-quite-realistic space that plays with perception.Jacqueline completed her BFA in Theatre at the University of Victoria. While there, she focused on costume and scenic design, and experimented with costume design using non-conventional materials, such as various plastics, papers and LED lighting.

In addition to researching and creating realistic historical and modern designs, Jacqueline enjoys building heightened, theatrical worlds and characters. Examples of her design work include costume designs for Swan Song (and Other Farces) (Blue Bridge Theatre, 2018); Girl in the Goldfish Bowl (Langham Court Theatre, 2017); The Shop Around the Corner: The Live Radio Play (Blue Bridge Theatre, 2017); and The Threepenny Opera (Phoenix Theatre, 2015). She was also the set and costume design assistant forThe Barber of Seville (Pacific Opera Victoria, 2016).
