The Bachelor of Arts (Major in Theatre) is a four-year program, which includes introductory courses in the areas of Theatre Studies, Acting, and Technical Theatre, as well as practical participation in the department’s productions. Subsequent years require a strong focus on Theatre Studies, the history, dramaturgy and methods of the theatre. No formal application for the BA Theatre Major is required.
We are extremely proud of the courses developed by Errol Durbach, Peter Loeffler, Jerry Wasserman, Erin Hurley and Kirsty Johnston in the history, dramaturgy and methods of the theatre. To augment this strong central foundation, students may also choose optional courses in Acting, Technical Theatre, Design, Creative Writing or Film.
