INDIGENOUS STORYTELLERS WIKITHON
UBC Theatre and Film in collaboration with First Nations and Indigenous Studies at UBC and the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal is proud to present an edit-a-thon to create, revise and add to entries on Wikipedia for Indigenous storytellers, specifically female and those working in film and theatre situated in the country known as Canada.
UBC Theatre and Film, Film Production course – FIPR 436B, taught by Shannon Walsh; First Nations & Indigenous Studies at UBC – FNIS 401T, taught by Dory Nason; and Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal – FMST 620, taught by Ez Ra Winton have formed the event which will be Skype conferenced on the day linking Vancouver to Montreal.
From 3:00pm – 7:00pm on April 4th , all are welcome to the UBC Vancouver campus in Room B-126 Buchanan Building (1866 Main Mall) or at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University in Montreal, Room FB 250.
No Wikipedia experience necessary!
This event takes place on the traditional, unceded, occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) & the Haudenosaunee.
